Study Hall: ASU-Wisconsin
Taylor Kelly and the ASU passing game were magnificent and came up with just enough big-play bailouts on passing downs to get the lead.

Study Hall: UCLA-Nebraska
UCLA's offense was mediocre in the first quarter, good in the second, and unstoppable in the third. Nebraska's, meanwhile, went from good to subpar to awful. Stats and eyeballs agree sometimes.

Study Hall: Stanford-Army
Stanford was far from amazing, but the Cardinal were good enough to win at 9 a.m. PT.

Study Hall: Ohio State-Cal
Time to make the two-QB formation a permanent reality.

Study Hall: Ball State-North Texas
Ball State's pretty decent, but the Cardinals aren't good enough to overcome five turnovers and a two-touchdown turnover disadvantage on the road.

Study Hall: Notre Dame-Purdue
A combination of DaVaris Daniels, a great defensive line, and a timely turnover won the game for Notre Dame, but the Irish certainly hinted at a specific red flag.

Study Hall: Kansas-Rice
Kansas' defense shows signs of hope. The Jayhawks' offense really does not.

Study Hall: TCU-Texas Tech
I've got my own ideas for why TCU might have figured out how to lose this game, but I don't want to go too far down that road because it would detract from the Davis Webb story.

Study Hall: Bama-A&M
These teams' success rates on passing downs were better than most are on standard downs. We'll have to wait a week or two to find out how much of this is defensive weakness and how much is just incredible offensive strength.

Study Hall: Vandy-SC
South Carolina played a nearly perfect first 20 minutes, put the game out of reach, then got sloppy.

September 17, 2013
Study Hall: Ole Miss-Texas
The two teams were relatively even on standard downs, but Ole Miss basically won every passing down no matter who had the ball.

Study Hall: Louisville-Kentucky
The Louisville offense went from okay in the first half to nearly perfect in the second, and for the game Kentucky just couldn't force enough passing downs to get stops.

Study Hall: FAU-USF
I knew the USF offense would struggle, but I didn't know it was going to be laughably bad.
-

Study Hall: FSU-Nevada
Jameis Winston threw an early pick, Nevada scored an early touchdown ... and then the universe corrected itself swiftly and violently in an easy Florida State win.
