Study Hall: Marshall-Va Tech
Sacks ... turnovers ... special teams errors ... passing downs disasters ... this game had it all, I guess. And almost none of it was any fun to watch.

Study Hall: Boise-Fresno
I loved the downhill running that Boise State leaned on in the second half, but it wasn't quite enough to dig out of the halftime hole. Big plays -- turnovers and sacks went in FSU's favor -- made the difference.

Study Hall: Florida-Tennessee
Life is hopeless if you fall behind schedule against Florida's defense. Or if you start an overwhelmed redshirt freshman. Either/or. But Florida's Tyler Murphy really didn't look too bad, did he?

Study Hall: Bama-Rams
The bar's pretty high for Alabama. And the Tide failed to clear it on Saturday. (I assume they'll clear it just fine against Ole Miss, but let's not pretend that's a 100 percent certainty.)

Study Hall: Notre Dame-Mich State
Michigan State was a little better on standard downs, Notre Dame was a little better on passing downs, and in the end, the game was basically decided by a minor turnover and a missed Michigan State field goal.
