When looking through the SEC previews Bill C. did, I noticed something: there were different Adj Scores for the same game.
On the Texas A&M preview, Texas A&M @ Alabama had an adjusted score of 48.2-24.6 for an A&M win.
In the Alabama preview, Texas A&M @ Alabama had an adjusted score of 37.7-21.7 for an Alabama win.
In the Texas A&M preview, Texas A&M v. Missouri had an adjusted score of 41-38.8 for an A&M win.
In the Missouri preview, Missouri @ Texas A&M had an adjusted score of 35.5-28.6 for a Tiger win.
If A&M had played a hypothetical average opponent instead of Alabama the week they played Alabama, and they would have scored 48.2 points, and Alabama had played an average opponent instead of A&M and scored 37.7 points, that would still be a 48.2-37.7 loss for Alabama.
If A&M had played a hypothetical average team instead of Missouri and scored 41 and Missouri had played a hypothetical average team instead of A&M and scored 35.5, that is still a 41-35.5 win for A&M.
How is it possible to have two completely different adjust scores for the same two teams playing the same game?
