[Bumped again.]
[Bumped back to the top of the page, as the media guides are still rolling in.]
With August almost upon us, fall practices are about to begin and the stretch run to the 2012 college football season will have begun in earnest. While you may have perused through a few season preview magazines over the past few months now it time to start studying up for real.
Knowing your team's starting lineup is one thing but what about that out-of-conference cupcake lurking in week three? Or any of these newcomers that have just joined your conference? Now's the time to start doing your homework particularly if you intend to write with authority on the subject.
In the past few years it has become extremely common for teams and conferences to post their media guides online or in a downloadable format. These are almost always a treasure trove of information but it can be a hassle to track them down. So, as a public service, we've done the searching for you.
Here are the 2012 football media guides for the FBS conferences. The name of the conference links to its website's football page and the hotlink on "2012 Media Guide" goes directly to the guide itself.
After the jump, you will find every FBS school listed by conference with links to the school's football page and this year's media guide arranged in the same format. An asterisk symbol (*) denotes a direct link to a PDF document. A dagger symbol (†) indicates the link is to a "quick facts" page and for more information you need to go to the team's website. I'll keep checking these in case a normal media guide is posted. All of the quick facts pages have now been replaced with the actual guides.
Obviously, not every program has posted their 2012 guide yet but if we've missed any please let us know in the comments. We will be updating this post every few days over the next few weeks and changes will be noted in the comments as well.
