Man oh man, what a charge by SDSU this year. The Aztecs were 1-3 at the end of September with a loss to South Alabama. Since then: nine wins in a row with only one (this one) coming by fewer than 14 points. The offense still isn't very good, but the defense is one of the best in the mid-major universe, and Air Force was the first team since September to score more than 17 points on the Aztecs. Air Force also acquitted itself well here, but the Aztecs were the best, most consistent team in MWC play this year. They are a deserving conference champion.
