Turnovers and some world-class drive-finishing ability allowed SC to overcome two kick return touchdowns and win. And honestly, I don't feel quite as shaky about the Gamecocks' defense as I did before seeing this. Vandy averaged 6.9 yards per play, and that's way too much for anybody to be giving up to Vandy, But five plays accounted for 44 percent of the Commodores' yardage totals, and VU still couldn't throw the ball with any consistency. Without the kick returns, this game is put to bed much earlier.
