Well, if you have to start a new quarterback on the road, it might as well be against the No. 110 defense in the country (according to Def. F/+), one that will in no way be able to stop your running game.

Cody Thomas most certainly didn't threaten to usurp Trevor Knight for first-string QB once Knight heals up; he completed just 10 of 20 passes (albeit without Sterling Shepard) and threw three picks. Luckily he can run. And so can Samaje Perine. OU's underrated offensive line just pushed Tech around, and the Red Raiders couldn't stop it, and the Sooners scored 35 of the game's final 44 points.
