ODU drove 65 yards and tied the game with 65 seconds left, and poor Alex McGough threw an interception two plays later, setting the Monarchs up to win with a field goal at the buzzer.

I'm not going to try to convince you these two teams are great or anything, but FIU has rebounded considerably from last season's dud -- at 97th in the F/+ rankings, the Panthers are ahead of No. 98 UConn, No. 102 Kansas, and No. 110 Vandy, among others -- and ODU is acquitting itself alright in its first full FBS season. The Monarchs are 4-6 and 111th, though they probably don't have much of a chance of finishing .500 with a smoking hot Louisiana Tech team visiting in two weeks.
