Interception Rates (Fun Stat Nerd Tidbit: Miami)
Miami's Jacory Harris was a big play waiting to happen in 2010 -- either he was completing a long pass or throwing an interception. New Miami offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch is tasked with getting into Harris' head that checking down to the running back is not the end of the world. If he's successful, then perhaps Harris will rank a little higher on this list. Harris ranked the lowest among prolific BCS quarterbacks last fall.

* Adj. Yards Per Attempt punishes quarterbacks 40 yards per interception (per an idea from The Hidden Game of Football. This takes what is typically the best raw stat for measuring explosiveness and adds a "likelihood of mistakes" aspect to it.

In terms of Yards and Yards per Game
Matt McGloin of Penn State should qualify solely on the basis of yards per game (1548 yards/193 YPG), but he only played eight games so he doesn’t appear on most NCAA stats.
For the record, he would be 94th on this list with a 4.2 INT% and 5.5 Adj. Yds/Att.
His bowl performance would be an astonishing 12.2 INT% and 0.3 Adj. Yds/Att.

As a Miami fan
I can say that there were times where I wished we ran the option, so the ball could stay out of the air. There were times last year where even when we won I felt like we lost.
lsu's jordan jefferson
wasn’t in the top 100?
Remember the Rose Bowl: The Story of the Alabama Crimson Tide & the Grandaddy of Them All
This list has the top 100 QBs by YPG
Jefferson played in all of LSU’s games, but split QB duties. So, low YPG.
Jefferson threw a pick on 4.7% of his attempts, which would put him 94th on this list, just behind quarterbacking luminary Jeremiah Masoli. His Adj. YPA is a Gilbertian 4.83.
Oh, and that's a bad miss.
