Fun Stat Nerd Tidbit: Indiana

I'm still struggling to get over the fact that a run-first, run-second team like Wisconsin scored 83 points in a game against Indiana.  As a fan of a team that once gave up 73 points against a team actively trying not to score, I know how bad can go to worse, but ... 83!  Sixth-most points allowed by a same-division opponent in the last 50 years!

Most Points Scored Versus Same-Subdivision (i.e. FBS vs FBS) Opponent (1960-2010)
1. 1968: Houston 100, Tulsa 6
2. 1989: Houston 95, SMU 21
3. 1991: Fresno State 94, New Mexico 17
4. 1991: California 86, Pacific 24
5. 1983: Nebraska 84, Minnesota 13
6. 2010: Wisconsin 83, Indiana 20
6. 1980: BYU 83, UTEP 7
8. 1973: Utah 82, UTEP 6
8. 1980: Oklahoma 82, Colorado 42
8. 1981: Clemson 82, Wake Forest 24
8. 1988: Houston 82, Tulsa 28
8. 1997: Florida 82, Central Michigan 6
