Wrong sport, obviously, but SBN's Chelsea blog, We Ain't Got No History, has a lovely piece on how most people -- especially those who proclaim to hate stats -- hold as tightly as possible onto the 'end-goal' stats and ignore everything that set up said end-goal. Very nice read.
